What rear facing car seats are you guys using?

I've seen a few pics where i see seats anchored in the middle seat, but the Chicco KeyFit infant seat i have doesn't have enough slack. Baby is 16 months now and about to outgrow so i'm shopping for a convertible car seat she can grow into.

currently looking at the Chicco NextFit. Looking at the dimensions it appears to the depth is a few inches shorter so maybe the front passenger seat can finally be set to a more comfortable position

    open to any suggestions

Yeah Graco got the best scores for everything. I'm now on the 4 in 1 convertible seats for both boys. One facing forward for the 3 year old and one facing back for the 1 year old. Do yourself a favor and buy the replacement belt that is effectively just a long cinch strap, works way better and easier to install than most of the straps that are to short and come with most seats.

Yeah I've bought about 6 seats now, got a seat base stuck in my truck once and said F it and cut the strap off to get it unstuck(no amount of laying on the fuckin thing would get it out) and when the replacement came it blew my mind lol. I tell all my expecting father friends to go buy it. Lemme find the link

I have the Nuna PIPA car set and base that uses the Latch system - like many (maybe not the Diono), it takes up quite a bit of space and the passenger seat would be really uncomfortable for anyone over 5'8"ish.

I also use Diono. Heavy. But slim and great quality. Been using it over 5 years now and have bought 3.

Nuna Rava, but only two times a week.

Stays in moms GX460 rest of the time. It has far more space in the rear for a car seat.

Nuna Rava. Best brand on the market. Has made quite a few international and mainland trips and still looks brand new I don’t have the hammock under there anymore. The baby wasn’t born yet when I took this photo

Wife has this one in her 4Runner. Baby is going to out grow it soon so we are going to get another Nuna Rava for that vehicle.

I got a Graco for baby hulk and it works perfectly fine in the taco. I do recommend getting seat mat absorbing material from your local tagert or Walmart store to help prevent seat dents.

The wife and I contemplated the Rava, but I think the max weight is 50lbs and our 10 month old son is already half that - the Diono goes up to 120lbs, so I think we will end up looking into a more long-term seat like that versus the Rava...especially for that price tag!

Haha yeah, not sure where my son gets his "heft" - I'm half Chinese and half Caucasian (5'9", 170ish) and my wife is Latina and is petite as can be lol.
