Got the rack on today. Need to finish mounting the boards, and waiting for the RTT and awning to get in.

    Excellent product.

This is where the 18" rack sits in comparison to the roofline on the Tacoma.

    20181024_071810_1.jpg Question.. couple anyway...

Cant seem to find any shots of how the long rack, attaches on the short bed. .. Any shots of that?

And, I know, you make some tonneau brackets, but, Im wondering about something a little different, I will most likely have to make my own, but, something that would allow one of the soft roll up covers to work....

    I have an idea.....

Either way, trying to maximize bed space. Trying to work out how to mount the bike now, etc....
And open rambling, since you are typically responsive.

Long bed rack attaches to short bed truck like so:

It would take a pretty extreme tonneau bracket to allow a soft cover to roll up. It's not something that we're interested in making.

Being able to open the cover is highly overrated.

    Thanks for the pic.

And while it may be overated, it is still a need requirement.
For me the cover itself is a burdensome necessity.
At this point, so is the rack.
Trying to maximize utility of truck, and still be able to do what i want to do as well.

    Thanks

Took my truck in for 10K maintenance. Service writer was really impressed with the rack and was all over it looking at how it was put together and manufactured.

Since the aluminum have adjustable width, what are the chances you are working on an adjustable height rack? Something that could start at 10" and telescope up to 25" or something? Definitely seems possible and would sell like hotcakes

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.

Could this attachment point be used in conjunction with a bed stiffener? That bolt is rather small in diameter I'm not sure if it would be strong enough to support the rack and whatever else goes on it.
