I have no plans to make anymore spacers for either engine, sorry. This was a one-time deal I did for myself and it far surpassed my expectations so I thought it may be of interest to someone else.

My opening post clearly states that its made from the OEM Toyota manifold. I went through several Solidworks design iterations before deciding to do this.

The thickness and construction material made available by the OEM part was deemed (in my opinion) to be far superior to a thin aluminum version. Also, might I add that I made this LONG BEFORE the XTP manifold came out. I would put my spacer up against the XTP spacer any day of the week.

No, they don't. It's frustrating to have to try and talk courteously to people like that.

Exactly, donor manifolds cost money. The work involved takes time and.... blah blah blah...

There are guys like us, who understand and do the footwork for everyone else to reap the benefits but they still fight it and insist on talkin shit...

If you have any questions, feel free to pm me. Good luck.

I was just clarifying that this was not designed and created the way the Tooter spacer one was though they may look somewhat similar in material and production. People were talking about R & D when all of that was done by Toyota on this piece not by you. You cut off the the whole intake portion. Everyone who has a Tacoma/4runner etc already has one of these on their trucks. The first post did sound like you were just selling off the piece you had modded and made to work which was fine. However, as the thread went on it took on a different feel as though people were thinking you actually designed and milled it etc. Which you didn't. Are there more gains with a thicker spacer? Maybe, but we don't have dyno results to prove it. My spacer is thinner for different reasons. It is a material and thickness I already worked with on another vehicle so I stuck with the same size at half an inch. If you go thicker more goes into modding your engine area. The brackets on the side that hold the intake manifold are no longer be able to be used. With mine there is very little changed from oem setup. The engine cover goes back on. The side supports can be reused. I set mine up to achieve gains without and major changes and be able to go back to stock easily. No one who has one of my XTPs has complained, as they do gain power and torque. I dynoed them on 2 different independent forum members trucks. Nothing wrong with the mod you had on your truck, that's why we all come to these forums to share in our mutual passions.

I know you don't plan on making any, but have you thought of the idea of selling the solid works files for a price? For the ones who want to DIY without all the hassle?

Sorry I can't do that, not for a DIY price anyway.

If you pm, me I can tell you how to make one at home, with or without a mill. I also have a spare manifold for sale, which you would need. Takes about a day to make and install.

    $200 shipped in the US

I see it doing the same as the aluminum spacers. Heat transfer is a joke on either IMO. These are plastic manifolds that small amount of heat is negligible. Just more work to get the same product. Glws op.

When I say more work. I mean for the average Joe. If you know how to machine then its a perfect solution. I like.

Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
While I have no idea of how things are on a 4.0 because I don't have one, I got different results on the 2.7.

In dyno testing, a long tube header dropped the torque peak by 650 rpms while the 2 inch thick tooter spacer dropped the torque peak by only 250 rpms. So the header made more than double the improvement over the spacer.

And as an aside, changing the muffler from a Magnaflow to a Flowmaster lowered the torque peak another 100 rpms.

So the combination of all three (header, spacer, muffler) lowered the torque peak by 1,000 rpms (from 3,800 rpms down to 2,800 rpms) while making more torque than stock.

You can get one from xtreme truck performance. But made from metal and only 1/2" thick.

I'm interested to see pics of what the OP came up with. He's no longer this forum and the pics are gone. Has anybody made their own spacer from another OEM manifold? Or anybody for pics of the one from the OP?
