While reorganizing my bed, I removed one of the bed hold down bolts to remove a “bracket” I’d placed under the bolt that I used as a tie-down for my fridge. I noticed the sleeve has cracked. I’m going to see what the dealer says about it but I’m guessing they’ll say I abused the truck by using the bolt for this. I can’t imagine the minor stresses exerted by a small fridge should cause this. The “bracket” is nothing but piece of soft 1/8” steel that can be bent by hand.

I had placed the bolt through one of the holes in this piece of steel as oriented in the pic.

    Thoughts?

I don't think that is a crack. That has nice straight lines at repeating angles. Cracks don't form like that. I'm betting that is how the collar is formed during manufacturing. Pull up another bolt you didn't put a bracket under and I bet you find the same seam in the collar.

looks like they used a giant roll pin or similar. Compressed the diameter and then inserted and springs back to size to lock itself in.
