I’ve read a lot about the bsm issues and error messages but has anyone had their bsm system just stop working all together with no error message? Switch is engaged and is not lighting up.

Mine had that issue from new.....turned out to be a faulty wiring harness in the left rear.....

    Good luck.

I had a problem, once. It was raining very heavily and my truck was pointed into the rain. It worked fine then out if nowhere it popped up and said BSM not available. Then the next day, it worked fine and hasn't acted up since. My best guess is some water got into one of the harnesses

Sounds like the issue. Been raining everyday for past 4-5 days. I thought it was fuse too but turns out there is no fuse for the bsm system.

Mine quit and I was told that since I had an Auto Shop replace my color matched bumper inserts with the Toyota Chrome bumper inserts that this will not be covered by the warranty. They said they need to be recalibrated at a cost of $520.00. That was three days ago, now they say that the sensors need to be replaced and then the new ones need to be recalibrated. They did not tell me what the costs would be, just that it would not be covered by my bumper to bumper warranty I purchased when I bought the truck 5 months ago, about 9500 miles on it now. I spoke with Corporate and was told that anytime anything is changed or not done at a dealership it voids the warranty. I have a 2018 TRD Off Road. Guess they really are not made to take off road. Not happy with Toyota or my dealer.

Mine stopped working after some lightly muddy dirt roads with less than 5k miles. The sensors under the bumper we're caked up. I hosed them out and it took a few weeks, but they started working again and have been fine the last 7k miles...
