Seems like that 4-banger isn’t underpowered at all. It’s taken you everywhere you’ve wanted to go. Really cool truck.

No, didn’t have balls to drill. All I did was purchase Yakima racks and then placed a basket over it. Currently I’m selling it so if you’re interested I’m located in Seattle.

It definitely has taken us to some cool places. Just hate going up steep passes on the slow lane. Aside from that I can definitely keep up with traffic.

I’ve been busy with work and usually around the winter our travel slows. So apologies for not giving updates. Winter is also usually the season where we pickup overtime to fund our future trips.

In December we plan on driving down to Arizona to meet family for Christmas. I do plan on spending a day around Sedona so if you know of cool wheeling spots to explore, let me know! Of course we will keep you all posted with pics.

Last month we drove down to Southern California to meetup with family and friends. We also got the opportunity to explore sequoia, kings canyon, Death Valley, and lessen volcanic national parks.

We have also put our name in the hat for a Go Fast Camper. Unfortunately build time is expected to be fall of next year. The Gofastcamper will save us 200 lbs and will make setup and tear down of camp much easier. That means our CVT tent (tentative buyer pending), canopy prinsu rack, and snugtop canopy will be up for sale sometime next year.

I was skeptical at first but after install it definitely made a noticeable difference. There is some guy who did a Dino before and after and according to him, his truck gained 12 hp. I would agree with him judging from not needing to downshift as much on hills lol...

Btw, if you’re the owner of Mobtown, y’all make great stuff. Been eyeing both your sliders and bumpers, I am a fan! Do you folks make aluminum bumpers?

Sweet. Have you looked into the 2" intake spacer?

    Thanks man. Appreciate that.

Negative. It is something we are working on now. We'd like to offer them soon. My 4-banger needs to slim down a bit. We'd probably only offer aluminum front bumpers. I'm not comfortable making an aluminum rear bumper with a built in hitch and swing out.

I haven’t heard of the 2 inch intake spacer. Does it work? If so, I’m willing to try it out.

For the third time in two years, I have decided to upgrade my suspension again. My reasoning is I want to go back to Moab again to conquer some of the trails I was unable to do the first time I went. I want to achieve as much suspension travel as possible without going to full travel and as such have decided to go with front and rear king suspensions coupled with TC upper control arms. Some of the items I purchased are on back order so I don’t expect to get them for about a month which pushes installation to about February. Ill keep y’all posted.

Big fan of this build! keep it up - the gfc will be a great addition.

Did you do the 4.88 on your own or did you have a shop do it? if you dont mind how much did it cost in total (with or without arbs). Thanks

Sorry for the neglect, been busy with a new job.

Updates: December 2018, we made a trek to Arizona to visit family and we found ourselves wheeling in beautiful Sedona Arizona. Here are some pics.

There are big changes coming. My new Kings suspension is here along with total chaos UCAs. Just waiting for the weather to warm a bit so I can start the install. WA dumped record snow the last few weeks.

I am also waiting on my new front and rear bumpers from @SOS CONCEPTS. Eddy is an awesome guy to work with and he has made Taka a full aluminum front bumper and high clearance rear bumper with swingout.

Stay tuned, more adventures to come.

Today I completed the install of my King 2.5 extended travel suspension and total chaos upper control arms. I’ll be heading off on the first road trip of the year in two weeks and will keep you folks posted on how they compare with my former old man emu suspension.
