Here is my update, and invite thread! I will save a spot for those going, below, and updates will be here in the top! This thing goes on Fri - Sun, the MINI MEET IS SATURDAY, FEB 2.
(geez, put a date in there, fool!)

It's all free, it's not a C&C, but you can bring some coffee. We should NOT be drinking beer in the Kruez Lot.

I was at Kruez today, and we CAN and ARE WELCOME to park, but it is not reserved! And I can't "hoard spaces". So, I am saying that if we meet by the "woodpile" (see map), about 8 AM, we could be good. A LOT of other people, it seems, park there, including some other clubs. So, while it's not imperative we park together, we should try.

I found that there is a SHUTTLE to the Kruez lot, but don't have details yet.

You should feel obligated to eat some Kruez BBQ for free parking. However, even they said many people park there and try other BBQ. And there is a new Pizza joint I like.

They sell beer downtown, and you can wander with it. There is also a new craft brewed beer joint on the square. No, you can't take their beer and wander...

Last year was "weather challenged". Look at the crowd! this could be a fun non-event. I am willing to ask a local BBQ for parking by the wood pile, close to downtown. No, didn't wrangle a discount, but it's still the best BBQ. This show is so large now, you can see a lot, eat lunch, go back!

    https://www.hotrodsandhatters.com/index.html

They have FB also at I expect over 1000 various vehicles this year. Last year, in mediocre weather, 10,000 people were in downtown Lockhart! So, come early, have some fun and food, and see the cars.

Here is the overall map. Rumors were that 142 downtown would be shut down (from San Marcos) - not gonna happen, but if you are coming from SA or SM, I will suggest something later on.

    upload_2018-12-4_20-9-52.jpg

Here is where I am hoping we will park
    upload_2018-12-4_20-10-58.jpg

Updates to follow. Second post in the thread will be those coming or interested.
Anyone interested in way too many pix of Hatters past, PM me, and if you have FB, I will link you to several albums!

Fixed the first post for you. Sat Feb 2. You can click the website. It's all pretty basic at this point. They don't detail a lot until it gets much closer.

Added in a second or two. Lockhart Best Western or Plum Creek Inn are the best we have. And they do fill up according to the news during the Show weekend.

Really not sure, and Hatters site isn't saying anything more than "excited to be in Gonzales". I'm sure that Joel Gammage (promoter) doesn't want to burn bridges, since he lives here, and his dad is Manny of Texas Hatters. But he wanted all of downtown restricted to show parking only, and the 183/142 interchange closed, as well as closing 142 completely downtown. City wasn't going to do that. Since he has done shows in Gonzales before......
