I’ll let you know once I get them on. Lift is going on next weekend then waiting for rims from ICON. I had STT pros on my FJ and those were loud. I had a neighbor recommend the duratracs.

I did the same, all stickers gone. Goo gone. You just need to keep at it. I eventually used a DA orbital and some good carnuba to finish up. It took me three to four times as long I get the goo off as it did to get the stickers off. Heat gun helped get the stickers off with limited residue.

Its a strip of matte black vinyl to protect it from all the man handling. I noticed I was using the top part of the tailgate alot when closing it and was starting to get small scuffs and scratches especially if I was wearing dirty gloves. Problem solved.

I had the same idea and ordered a strip a while back, but I butchered it at install.

    Looks great.

I really wish the plastic cap just came down to form a hand hold for closing the gate, seems like an easy solution. I notice this same issue in other manufacturer trucks as well so not just a Toyota thing.

I agree they could have accommodated for the obvious. Why not drop the plastic guard down a few inches.

Rhino Rack - here is a thread I did back when I got it installed: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rhino-rack-installed.470338/

Been almost 2 years and I would still recommend it for anybody that is looking for a cross bar setup vs a basket rack style like the Prinsu.
