I know my buddies have 20* bags. But if I do go 0*. Will it be too much?

You can unzip both sides and the bottom. I haven’t slept in it on a hot night but you could always unzip the bottom to cool it down.

Hey everyone, I wanted to get your input really quick. I just found a Tepui kukenam for 800 locally, do you guys think that’s a good deal? I’m waiting to here back with more details like how old it is and it’s condition. It looks decent in the pictures though.

Edit: the tent is 7 years old. He claims no leaks or tears/holes.

SOUNDS like a good deal, because if i'm not mistaken, that's the larger one?

Yeah I think it’s a 2-3 person. I’m not sure how much the design has changed over the past 7 years though haha

I wouldn't imagine too much. The big thing(s), IMO, would be the wear and tear on it. I would try to get eyes and hands on it first to see the state the material is in. Pictures can only do so much.

Just scored an opened box Smittybuilt Overlander via BidFTA for $255. The ladder and all hardware are still factory wrapped!

Now just waiting on my Can-Back to arrive so I can actually mount it on something...

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. He’s about 3 hours away from me depending on traffic so I’m debating on if I want to do it.

    Hey...
Anyone ever stash the maxtrax under the RTT cover?
Any drawbacks (other than if they get caked with mud)?
I’m running out of room in the bed & not ready to spring for a roof rack...
    Thx - dave

...Our stomachs satisfied for the moment, we continued down the mountain - only a single planned overlook between us and the bottom, our road spitting us out near the confluence of the Bighorn and Devil's Canyons which we could already see in the distance... it was at this overlook that tragedy struck. (Tragedy is perhaps a bit strong a word to use in this case, but what unfolded was definitely a bummer...)

Nice group of friends to do that with.

I am always solo, or with the wife. Would be cool to have a group like this to off road with

How well did the RTT do up there? Did it feel tippy at all offroading ?
Have always put mine on the bed of the truck, but have thought about putting it on the roof since I have softopper too

Do the compression straps for your tent line up with the carry handle holes? You could run them there. I know of someone that does it that way and it seems like it works.
