Anyone know of or designed a cheap canvas-like bed cover? Not interested in an expensive Tonneau cover that will prevent theft. Looking for something that's easy and convenient to use just to keep anything in the bed out of the elements in case of rain and such.

A soft, roll-up Tonneau would probably be the closest thing I can think of, however, I'm more looking for something that can be put on and completely pulled off with ease. Essentially it would only be on the truck when I know I'll be out driving in rain, but otherwise stored somewhere in the garage out of the way when not in use.

I'm thinking something that would snap on maybe? Or have some other easy way of securing to the bed rails. I would need it to be flexible enough to get around my bed rack for if the rack and rtt are on the truck.

    Any ideas?

You do realize you can get those 2 Tyger covers in a long bed version also? Here are the links for the 2016 Tacoma long bed. I thought you had a short bed when I saw you had a double cab so I first posted covers to fit short beds.

Didn’t realize! Saw the picture with the X next to the 6’ bed and assumed that it wasn’t an option that’s available. Thanks!

Any chance you have pictures of how the rails install?

Well shit, ordered an ebay soft rollup cover. Got excited an accidentally ordered a 2nd gen Tacoma version for my 3rd gen. Figured it would probably be the same. Installed it, and theres a slight gap in the front. Turns out the front of the bed on a 2nd gen sits lower than the bed rails. On a 3rd gen the front of the bed sits higher than the bed rails. Anyone in Socal want a cover for their 2nd gen cheap? I made sure all the hardware was included for you, lol.
