3rd gen seats in a 2nd gen???

    Pretty curious because the new seats in the tacomas are sweet so just wondering if anyone has done a swap or knows if they will switch over??

    You'll need a passenger seat bypass...3rd gens use a differen occupant detection system in pass. seat. Otherwise don't see why not.

    Seats aren't that much different, just more angular and reskinned.

    Edit:randomly saw this post I made, I think in another thread we found out the passenger seat detection system is still the same, so probably should be plug n play. (Made this edit 8Dec2018)

    I am working on it right now so far the backseats are exactly the same they both write up the only difference is the seatbelt are different you need to use your old receiver for the seatbelt I’m working on the front I will update
