    Been awhile, busy moving and what not.

    My wife went to crank the truck cuz it’s been sitting for a little and it wouldn’t turn over.......

    She drive it 2 days prior around the block to turn fluids and get the battery/alternater working. Not too concerned as I’m not there to inspect it but she’s gonna try to jump it when she gets a chance.

    It’ll be a few days but I’ll keep ya posted.

    I was wondering how often starters go out (how hard they are to replace), and alternater life spans. Truck was bought new in Aug 2010. 90k ish miles on it. We’ll see.

    Yea that odd piece is, I got a new battery in the last 12 months....I expect roughly 4 yrs minimum normally. And all I’ve ever bought were Interstate batteries.

    Those used to be really good, now they are not. I have replaced tons of them with less than a year of age on them because they were defective for one reason or another. It's time to change brands my man.

    You may be right. I haven’t done any homework recently so this will be on my priority list to look up—-that and what brands are new and reliable. I hate that if Interstate is not what they used to be!

    I agree that it's a limitation for sure. I too have been considering removing and re-piping the small-diameter intake pipe between the current throttle location and the rotors.

    In addition to that, I have the theory that there is an intake restriction past the rotors as well. I fixed my belt slip and boost went from 11 to 14 psi at redline, but I only saw 11hp increase at redline based on pre and post dyno runs. Therefore it stands to reason that the extra air and fuel making it into the combustion chamber from the extra 3psi of boost is being mostly negated by the additional parasitic load used to spin the rotors and make that manifold pressure. Right now I'm sure it's a combination of that and the pre-rotor intake restriction.

    Granted I was having trouble gaining power for other reasons the second time on the dyno, was running really rich for some unknown drift in my tune and it was warmer and more humid in the garage than it was the day I did my first dyno run.

    I can attest @VolcomTacoma that it's very possible you don't know you have belt slip until you fix it.

    The stock drive belt for the engine is pretty robust for the most part, but I noticed my stock one did not like the cold, as it would almost slip on the serpentine system when cold. I switched it out to a fleetrunner as well since I was nearing 100K and the squeaking on cold morning's has not returned since. Part number for the engine serpentine belt is on page 1 in the belt section I believe. It's a direct fit.

    I don't believe it would work for our setups as it is a V belt and not a Micro V rib which is what ours has to be. The only thing in question I have is if the design is actually how the picture shows it despite them mentioning it is 5 rib. You could always call to get clarification though.

    If you want to run a Fleetrunner that would ensure not only the best traction, but the most durability out of all the options other than the Gates RPM kevlar series as the application is made for industrial serpentine designs as well as Diesels. I could cut you out a Fleetrunner if you want me to?

    The pricing would not make it necessarily profitable honestly.

    Besides while my cuts are for the most part pretty good I still need to perfect it.

    So do I. My technique is getting better though. But yeah, you might make tens of dollars in that business.
