toyota passive anti theft service contract

Went to look at some Toyota for the wife. Well found two cars. And when we did the paper work , We where told we have to get the Toyota passive anti theft service contract. They are asking $299.00 for this. When did Toyota start forcing people to buy things that they don't want?

I dont know... check toyotas website.... also call a few other dealers to confirm. Could give corporate a call and see. But more than likely they will just throw it in. Its 300 bucks for them to make a deal ffs. I guess they dont want your money bad enough.

if thats the add-on "karr" thing dont do it....its junk....
i got talked into keeping it activated for $500 when i bought
now the horn beeps rapidly for half a second every night & dealer wants $125 to disconnect it
....scam

 

If it’s something you “have to” buy, it should be included in the negotiated price of the vehicle. If they try to add on things like this, just say no.
