I wondering if folks can tell me if with the black box removal, do 265 70 16 and 245 75 16 fit with out rubbing? I'm on stock suspension and running 235 70 16 and would like to upgrade if possible. Tacomaworld rocks!!

I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab, can I run a 235/70/16 without having to do the black box removal?

    I have 16x7.5 inch rims

Got a lot of stuff lol
Stock is 4" bs I had 3.75 and needed a 1/4" spacer to clear calipers. Granted some rims are different I think 4" is the safest and it's what I currently run with 33s

HI guys, this is my first post here. Just ordered my fat bobs aal (long leaf) and spacer for my 99 5 slugger ext cab. Looking to move to a 16" wheel. I'd LIKE to run the same size tire as my 97 4runner for convenience, 265 70 16. Any suggestions for 16" wheels and how much bs I may need?

Probably like 3.5” bs, steel rims are cheap and easy to find, no matter what you gunna have rubbing at that size. Gunna have to trim

Thanks Miguel, I was hoping to hear from you. Assuming I one day do the fab tech spindle which requires a min 3.75 bs IIRC, any particular wheel you would recommend? Some fender/plastic trimming is expected just don't want to rub components too badly.

    Got a 1st gen 96 2.4.
What is the largest tire I can run stock?
Im planning to have 14 or 15 inch AR62s
    How wide can I go?

What would be my offset boundaries?

Pulling some things to fit 31x10.50s stock on my 5 lug, from 235s

Going to use jeep wheels on the new set. Cutting of fenders/ bashing of the wheel well to come for fitment

Haha, yes, I have read that entire thing. lol Awesome truck.

So, it sounds like I read it wrong and the set I'm looking at is actually 235/85r/16. It sounds like 235 should be okay, but what about the 85r vs my current 75r?

Will these guys stick out the sides? Or will the rub inside? Both?

What about Bore? Can anyone tell me real quick what bore a 1st Gen is? Or where to look?

Any further help would be great! Thanks!

235/85/16 measures out to be about the same as that guy was running on his build, but not as wide. ( 31.6x 9.50 versus 31.6x 10.50) I was looking into those instead of the 31x10.50, but could not find a set of cheap 16s on CL or offerup, the jeep wheels came up for 50 and i jumped on them. Think our bore is 67.1 iirc

my wheels are flush with stock steelies and 235/75/15, or 28.9x9.50

Crap, so a 3.5 bore is a no go? I thought wheels that fit Cherokees were supposed to fit these little taco's?

This guy selling the wheels says it is a 3.5 bore and that they were on his Cherokee. The internet seems to be telling me Cherokees from '93 to 2020 are 71.5?

Maybe he means the lugs are 3.5? would that make any sense?
