yes its under the dash, if you look where the clutch travels you'll see a switch that engages when the clutch touches it. if your clutch pedal sags thats most likely why its not engaging CC. You can adjust the switch a little to get it to work right.

So I adjusted the switch on my clutch and the cruise control started working again. Then three days ago it went back to not working. Just looked at the brake and clutch switches and both are positioned correctly. I don't know what to look at next. The cable is still tightly attached to the bracket as it should be. Light still comes on btw. Do I need to start checking wires?

Has your clock spring (aka spiral cable) been replaced? Also, check the level of your brake fluid as that is a known cause albeit rarely.

If it is a manual, your spring on your clutch could be going..
My 2000 Manual would not engage cruise. Just had to use my toe and lift the clutch pedal the last 1/4”-1/8”..would work just fine..

If the light is still coming on, on the cruise switch could the fuse be blown still?

Most things that will cause this is a faulty brake switch or loose emergency brake cable, Make sure your pull brake is not loose so just tugging it lightly and seeing if your brake light comes on. If that is good, do a resistance test on the brake switch. There are 4 pins on it, 2 and 2. depress the plunger and make sure that 2 or the pins have go resistance as well as the other 2.

I'm having problems with the e brake not showing the light when it's on. I've been driving and let off gas and speed drops quickly but not as if a brake was on and no light, but I pulled over and pulled it and pushed it in again and it was back to normal. Android audio wont work with USB on head due to saying I'm not stopped And if I am stop to engage the emergency brake and when I do it it's still does not let me accept the terms and conditions so it'll run the same screen on my head unit. It has to be a problem with the emergency brake but I don't know what you mean when you say pull the plunger and 2 pins. Can you send a picture of what pains are talking about or send me a link to how to fix it?

Man this site is awesome. With everyone's knowledge I would think that any Yota owner can figure out a problem and fix it themselves. Two thumbs up!

Found out what my issue was. The plug and play trailer pigtail has a short in it. Noticed that the marker lights and dash panel were coming on when I pushed on the brakes. So the short in the pigtail was back feeding making the truck think I was pushing on the brake when turned the lights on. Now to buy a new trailer pigtail.
