It's time to upgrade my wheels and tires over stock. As I use my truck for my DD I want to minimize negative on-road driving characteristics. 95% or more of my driving is on pavement. Due to this, I am planning on avoiding E-load rated tires. In addition, I am looking at 17 rims as I have read there is more availability in different load ratings.

The four tires that are in the running are listed in the poll but am interested in others as well.

I've done some research and the OE Goodyear and TRDOR rim combination weigh about 60 lbs. (25 rim and 35 tire). I was initially looking at the TRD Pro Semi 17 inch (27lbs), SCS F5 17 inch (22 lbs), and the Method MR701 (31 lbs) but have narrowed it down to the first two due to respective weights (method was too heavy). I think all three look good.

I'm leaning towards the F5 because they are lighter. Has anyone had any issues with F5 wheels? I looked on the website but did not see any information as to how they are built. Are they cast or forged? Other than weight, is there any difference between the TRD Pro and F5 I should be aware of?

I obtained the following weight combinations from Tire Rack and/or Discount Tires website.

The weight of the tires+rims is show here. The difference listed is with stock TRDOR wheel and tire (60 lbs).

I am leaning towards the F5 Rim with the Nitto Terra Grappler. Anyone see any issues with this?
