Nothing super dangerous because it’s my daily, but It had rained a day or two prior when I was in Zion and I was cruising through the BLM area. Decided to do a quick tail whip in 2wd to scare my girlfriend who was looking at her phone. Well there was a couple behind the berm and out of sight that was taking in the sights and I just hit their Subaru & tent with a fuckton of mud lol. Dumb/accidental/made me feel like an asshole

I did the same thing a few months ago. The garage was the original wooden garage from maybe 1980 or something. Busted up the garage door and had to get a new one installed. No damage to truck, my RTT is what made contact with garage.

I was loading my canoe from tailgate to atop my roof and I rammed the bow of the canoe through the 3rd brake light :anonymous:. That is the only one I am stating publicly, cause wifey knows about the one and I leave TW open sometimes.:spending:

I have one that's similar to yours but not as life threating and one just plain stupid:

1.) Driving in a sand pit I always use to lubricate my 4x4, being pitch dark I didn't notice they where installing drainage (probably shouldn't have of been driving there). I backed up to disengage the 4x4 in my old truck and as I'm driving away, notice I came within a few feet of backing down a 20ft hole they dug for piping... the what if's of that still haunt me.

2.) Bring a load of sand to my parent's house, I drove horizontal to the hill slope and felt that "tippy" feeling and to this day don't know what I was thinking.

I have one to equal yours if not worse, before my DIY days. Noticed a rattle in the front driver's side wheel, brought it to my mechanic who diagnosed it as a wheel stud nut bouncing around like it's in a dryer under the hubcap.

Oh, and here’s my dumb dashcam video of the dumb kids taking the dumb cellphone from the lady before I did the dumb thing and tried to get it back from them before the kid pulled the dumb gun on me. This video was zoomed in 5x and just caught the kids mainly in the corner of the lens. I do have to get a better dashcam though.

While watching this I picture you like Clint Eastwood and this video is the younger version of the movie Gran Torino.

I shouldn't laugh but that made me LOL...although if I were that couple with the Subaru I'd be livid. Still funny though...can't help it.

Having read your post through a few times, I totally understand what you mean and what you were doing.......but at first I thought to myself “what kind of moron lubricates his 4X4 with sand?”. Now I understand.

Backed up into a dumpster that I had put there. Took a phone call, got distracted, threw it in reverse and BAM! :pout:

So glad I'm not the only one who does really stupid things that cost money.

I back into my garage. I left the back glass of my camper shell open and sticking up after getting something out of it before backing in. When I backed into the garage it shattered the glass and thrashed the aluminum frame of the back glass. The garage has decorative stones lining the outside edge and top of the garage and it broke the stones where the back glass hit. Luckily it didn't do any damage to the fiberglass portion of the shell, so the repair was just the back glass and frame- $550. The stones were a different issue all together. Was able to repair that myself. Felt really dumb when I heard the crunch and still feel dumb for that one.

I've only had it for a month and a half now, so I don't have much to say. I suppose the dumbest thing was when I went home and parked I left the rear sliding window open and it rained overnight.

About a year, year and a half ago I drove through a flooded road behind my work (in the cold rain no-less). The water was half way up my tire at the time, but got increasingly deep as I went along. I learned my lesson from stopping before in an old car, so I knew I had to keep going, but I panicked and sped up more than I should of, causing water to splash up very high and cover my windshield faster than I could wipe it away.

Long story short, I'm lucky I didn't hydrolock. If I could have remained calm and just pushed the water with a bow wave like you're supposed to it would have been smooth sailing, but I panicked and almost made the situation dire.

    Engine bay was SOAKED.
