    That is literally the same setup I’m thinking! Have you ordered the lift and tires? I am leaning towards a 255/80/17 and going on faith that it will fit with the Billy’s 6112/5160.

    I know someone running that lift on same settings on a 2017 OR with the trd 17" wheels and 255 80 17 cooper st maxx with no issues. I have not yet ordered but it is sitting in my cart. Tires are the item in question!

    This helps;

    The wheels are 17”x7” and I think they are -4 offset but not positive. They are the Sema TRD Pro wheels made originally for the T4R so someone should be able to chime in.

    Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
    Just be careful with those tires. When I totaled my last truck on ice I had those ties, and they absolutely were the worst tire I've ever run on ice/snow. I know that very few tires are good on ice, But the coopers I have now are actually much better. The spot I wrecked, I drive every day, and it has iced since I put these on. Just thought Id give you a heads up.

    Anybody running the cooper st,in 255/85/16 only 48 lbs. and a true 33" according to cooper web site seem to have some decent reviews on other forums.

    A few members have run them, they are a great tire but they don't have the armor tek sidewall and they look really skinny because of the smooth sidewall design.

    Took my 255/85-16 Cooper St Maxx out to Hidden Falls for the weekend. It was super wet/muddy and they performed great!

    With the dry/wet road performance I am in love with these things!

    So I had my first outing with the ST’s, these things are awesome! Every time I started to bog down in the snow, a little wheel spin would pull me right through. I love these tires. Planning on a lift but never hit a point where I needed it. Only issue i had was climbing a hill that my friends 4Runner made it up no problem. I had to back down and get a run at it. But it was coming right out of a stream and the Tacoma’s are super light in the back so it wasn’t a surprise. More reason to get a bed rack. And bumpers. Couldn’t believe how capable this thing was just by throwing on new shoes

    He chewed that hill up bad. Good hearing you made it with speed.

    I have no bad things to say about 235/85r16 stt muds. In a foot of snow all the other rigs would float and couldnt get up. At 20f and 15r psi I backed up the hill dug in. Then popped right out over and over, normally I run them at 10psi in the front and 8 in the rear, and can go anywhere not blowing a bead.

    Thus skinnys dig when you need it and float when you dont. You just gotta be mindfull of your throttle and not try and skinny pedal everything.

    Hello good Skinny Tire fans - I hope I don’t get flamed for asking. I’m aware this has likely been discussed but I didn’t read all 75 pages of this thread.

    I’m running a stock DCLB OR. My original tires have another few months on them. I’m looking for something a little taller than the stock tires that will work with the stock OR wheels. I have no plans for a lift at the moment. Is there a skinny for me that won’t hit the MPG? I imagine the answer is no as taller tire may mean heavier tire, but I was thinking it may not be a hit because it’s skinnier than the stock tire. I’m just looking for a good all-season. I live in Vermont...lots of snow and ice.

    If I can’t find a skinny...leaning towards FalkenWildPeak.

    Thanks for any help!
