If you are going to carry a bat, I would highly recommend you also carry a glove and a ball. As recommended by a lawyer friend of mine over a beer.

Sounds like you got the right kind of list going!

Clear bra, weather tech floor mats, seat covers, dog door protection.

I got my first a few months ago. For a nominal fee they will laser engrave it so on one side of my knife it reads “Reward=Tacos! Please call 480.555.5555”

I never want to lose it but hopefully that helps.

Haven't geared up my truck all that much as it stands. I have two tool boxes which are going to eventually be the basis for a dog platform... Inside them are some ratchet straps and leather gloves (rock climbing gloves actually - incredibly durable). I have a pack of water proof matches that seem to be with my vehicle no matter what, lol.

In my 2002, I used to carry a gen III+ night vision lens attachment for my DSLR, a 600mm F4 lens, Gen III+ Nightvision goggles, and a DSLR for doing “night work”, but I quit all that for now and am teaching. May go back to that one summer if things get slow at school (for wildlife studies).

As for truck equipment now (and before), a extra camera, pretty well stocked first aid kit, extra backpacks, a SPOT satellite beacon, CB and 2-meter ham radios, traction boards, Hi-lift, repair kit for mechanical and tires, 2 tow straps, shovel, hwy flares and reflectors, rain gear, warm clothing, extra water, 12v compressor, an extra cellphone and charger (no subscription- just for 911 calls), emergency food (bars), notebooks, pens, 10x50 binoculars, window camera mount, etc.

Good set up. Don’t forget that 911 only phones cannot provide your location- so it’s essential you identify where you’re at when speaking to 911.

Good point, but there’s an update to that - IOS 12 now has a triangulation algorithm built in to give dispatchers your location info. But, alas, iphones are pretty weak in the backcountry. I have a flip phone with a external antenna that can ping way further than my iphone.
