I didn’t get a picture, but it’s an orange obd2 plugin, and on the back it had 3 ports. One is for a micro usb cable, not sure what the other two are for.

Odyssey and NorthStar are both very very good. I have ran both and both make you have to give your coilover a extra turn on the drivers side. Because overkill. 99.99% pure lead. NorthStar was great, but had the fuel pump do the no check ball thing a few times last winter and need some serious extended cranking. Tested the battery and they wanted to replace it under warranty with a Odyssey because they had seen a couple Northstar failures and didn't want me to be out in the middle of nowhere and have it fail. I said ok and then sent my buddy in to buy it from them as a scrap battery and it is working great in his Tundra. I knew there was nothing wrong with the battery, but if they want to keep me out of harms way, I will let them. I kinda think they just didn't want me to promote the Northstar anymore because they quit stocking them and started to stock the Odyssey. They being my local battery warehouse. But I will tell you that either one will be a great battery.

 

I'm pretty happy with my Speedhut boost gauge still lol

I was to lazy to wait around for any super special battery after my truck sat for 3 months waiting on parts and me to fix it. O reilly's had my back on the spot.

 

I'm on my second Northstar 27F. I got the high end ones with the brass terminals. The first one died unexpectedly within 12 months of purchase. It was replaced under warranty, depending on what happens with this one, I may be inclined to go Odyssey with my next one....

 

Glad the tape helped fix it. Too cold!? You can’t complain about cold to a Canadian. I was wearing shorts yesterday and it’s ten degree below freezing.

You used the yellow Teflon tape for petroleum products correct?

 

Yes sir, yellow teflon tape. It was called plumbers tape, but said on the package that it was safe for gasoline and oils

Oh I'm familiar with it but many people are not and use the white stuff on everything. The yellow suits our applications better.

 

Gotcha, yeah I was unfamiliar with it until yesterday when Athlaos suggested it.. Worked like a champ though. About twice as thick as the white tape.

 

My issue with this type of gauge cluster is how far down it is. You have to physically look down at the gauges to see what any numbers are. When you're zooming along or racing (on closed courses obviously), you don't want to look away from the road for a split second. Especially for me offroad. in the time it takes for you to look down and back something could have popped up. Plus the shifter is gonna be in the way a bit depending on gear so you might have to physically move yourself just to look around it. Would much rather see something built into the upper dash or A pillar (that isn't junk) that looks a little more tasteful and not so ricey as alot of stuff is out there.

 

Please take some notes for a template, guys. I'm too far away to join the party, but I'm interested in assembling a similar setup.

nGauge Digital Gauge Touch Screen Tuner/Datalogger for Ford GM Dodge HPTuners

nGauge for local dyno tuning, and really liked it.)
