    Becareful if you are running iridiums, if you touch the center electrode when regapping you may do more harm!

    Yeah I didn't touch it, just very carefully checked the gap. It was about .02 larger than what I gapped it at from the start, but I really didn't want to fuck it up so I'm gonna leave it as is for now. I'll check again in another 20k-30k and if it widens much more I'll change them out. Will probably pull the blower at the same time and swap out injectors. Who knows, might be doing cam gears at the same time :anonymous:

    I'll be in the market for a battery this season. I had an optima red top last 14 years. Reading reviews shows that's unlikely to expect again.

    No it's not. It is ginormously massive dimensionally and exceptionally heavy. I run it because it is the max dimensions that my battery tray allows.

    My shit is all stock.
    Yes. These trucks were born with either 24F or 27F batteries. Depending on where they were sold. Extreme climate areas got the larger 27F.

    I run an optima. SC34R. Better numbers than a 27F and has a three year warranty. I simply have Siri remind me every 24 months to warranty it out.

    I dont know odyssey. Heard they're great. I heard optima isnt what they used to be. Just dont buy via Amazon as they dont honor battery warrantys.

    I wouldn't touch them personally. I've heard too many horror stories regarding them. Go with Odyssey if you want AGM, Deka intimidator batteries are also pretty good as well and they are AGM as well.

    If you want lead acid, well, you have a vast array of choices. Usually none quality, like Neverstart, Duracrap, and as you know, Interstate is out the window in quality now. Lol.
