Are you questioning the $50 price or use of the garnish?

I totally misread your question. The garnish is widely available on Ebay.

    Lot's o' plastidip.

Thanks, I saw those...but looking at the back side photo it appears to just be a plastic cover? Isn't it supposed to be transparent/glass to allow the sensor to work?

No, it’s not made of glass. It’s black plastic with a glossy outer layer, hence the reason a lot of Tacoma owners have gone without the OEM garnish or cut pieces of plastic to cover the sensor as an inexpensive alternative.

Not worth it & the paint will get chipped bad especially from winter road conditions. I get OEM parts at wholesale price so that will help lesson the cost of a OEM Pro grill.

    Looks good.

    2 quick questions for you:

    1) Purchased from the most recent eBay link?

    2) Do all the letters match in color?

    Thanks.

Use some plastic restorer. I use Adams back to black kit or Chemical Guys had some stuff I used too. Keeps it looking pretty fresh. Mine is a year old and I live in Vegas so the sun hits it almost everyday and my truck stays out full time. Looks good still minus the water spots from our shitty water when its washed lol.

I have had the 140$ knock off grill for a year and it's been nothing but great.

Update on the grille without garnish. First 4 times (100ish miles) I got the clean sensor error after five minutes of driving or randomly within a half hour drive. Now after having it on over a week I have no more errors and didn’t clean anything. I think the sensor had to adjust to the different grille or where it was being blocked. Cruise works again and sensors are now working.

Yes. Took a bit and was wondering if it would, and it finally did. Was prepared to order the garnish but was preferring not to as it’s shiny and the grille is matte.

Ya another thing that is making me question if i want the pro grill, the shiny garnish looks ugly on them but without it can damage the sensor right? Think ill keep my stock 18 offroad cheese grater grill for now

It’s pretty protected and it’s a solid plastic sensor. More sturdy than you’re probably thinking, but sure it “could” be damaged. The stock one isn’t terrible so it’s not bad to keep it. For $73 it was worth the risk for me.

Where did you go to buy it? $73 is a steal!

eBay. Letters were all together as well. They come shipped in 2 separate packages, but the letters were all silver and all together. Just had 4 little screws to attach it to the main grille. The link is a few replies ago.
