Shop near Lynnwood, WA to do a CMC?

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and a first time Taco owner. I'm looking for any recommendations for a shop near me that will do a cab mount chop at a fair price. I have a little bit of rubbing going on, now that I have 1.25" G2 wheel spacers installed. I just like the more aggressive stance. I got a quote for $400 to do both sides from a place here in Lynnwood. I have been told on another thread that is on the high side. Where did you guys go and what did you pay?

 

What is your wheel tire combo? I used my adjustable SPC UCAs to move my wheel further forward in the wheel well to eliminate the need of any cutting and solved my rubbing issues.

 

The wheels are a 17x9 6x5.5 with 5.394 of backspace and +10mm of offset. Tires are 275/70/17 BFGoodrich KO2.

Unsure if you can clear with 9” wide wheels and spacers, but have you tried rotating the cam on your SPC UCAs to move the wheel forward in the wheel well?

I set mine 1 notch forward with similar diameter (though narrower) tires and fixed the rubbing issue. There are several more notches to push the wheel further forward in the wheel well to fix rubbing issues and avoid the CMC, so you may potentially not need to cut anything.

 

I will ask the shop if doing this will fix my rubbing issue. I'm also finding cheaper quotes (half the cost) for the CMC at other reputable 4x4 shops within my area. Thank you or the advice.

Which shop is yours in Everett?

 

Mine's actually in Puyallup, and shop is a strong word for it. I do chops in my garage when places like mule are all booked up.

Mule quoted me 250. Not a bad price at all.

 

I took mine to 4WP in Lynnwood and they priced matched a local shop. They charged me $259 out the door for parts and labor. I was very happy with the work they did.

 

That's a decent price. I'd save that 9 bucks in gas just driving down the street Haha
