I recently purchased a 1995 regular cab Tacoma with a V6 and manual transmission.

I need a new throttle body--the current part number is 22210-62190, but I can't find this part anywhere. My question is are there other compatible part numbers? Will any 5VZFE throttle body work? IE the following sale for a different part number:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-4RU...-BODY-MODULE-ASSEMBLY-TPS-GASKET/362464479759

I have restored most of this truck to its former glory and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to resolve this throttle body issue. Thanks for your time.

The blade is very loose and wiggles a lot, causing the idle to fluctuate a good bit at times, and of course setting off my annoying check engine light.

Awesome, thank y'all very much for the tip. If it comes to that I'll definitely try him out. If possible I would like to spend a little extra $$ getting a used one to avoid the taco downtime, but judging by how hard it has been to find a replacement part I might not have that option.

I did the same thing on my 98. Bought 2 TBs on ebay just to find that the butterfly on both of then were worse than mine, so I ended up sending one to him. I could have saved $200 by just sending him mine in the first place.

I don’t see why any throttle body made from 1995-2002 wouldn’t work. 2003-2004 is where you have compatibility issues since it would have the electronic kick down cable (ETCS-i)

They are different depending if you have a manual or auto or cruise control they all
have a different model number, at least 3 different models maybe more.

There is a number if I remember on the top that lets you know the throttle body model you have

Are they? I remember the ETCS-I throttle body still had the provisions for more than one cable even though its electronic.

When I had to get a new one it had to be the exact same model, not universal, 4x4 might be different too

He would actually be better just to have it rebuilt by Max bore

One post I read just now on another site says:
MT/AT throttle bodys are different, they will work on each other though. to go from MT to AT like me, you must adjust the throttle cable and make a new bracket. super easy

I'll probably end up getting it rebuilt but I'm tempted to try tinker a bit first if an alternative seems a little plausible.

So I found a throttle body for sale on another 1995 4x4 MT Tacoma and it's in the mail. I feel lucky--the VIN lookup matches my specs almost exactly. It was fairly cheap so even if I need to get it refurbished at least I'll have a spare... that's the plan anyway, fingers crossed.

    Another question,
Since this donor vehicle matches my specs so closely, can you think of any other rare part I might want to consider getting from it, even if I don't need to replace them yet? This throttle body was the first part I've run into that was so hard to find--any other notoriously difficult parts to match for older models?

    Thanks!

You should look for a good seat belt. Most of these seatbelt wear out or are worn,
I bought a new one last week from dealer for 150.00 and he said there were only 6 available left in blue.
if u get a new one

Good thought... the seat belts I had in it were sooooo bad. I ended up getting these when I got my seats--so far so good:
    https://corbeau.com/other/seat-belts/retractable-seat-belt.html

I might ask them for pics of their condition anyway--it's even the same interior color as mine.

vacuum canister is $$$ to replace OEM
air filter box is $$$ to replace OEM
    MAF sensor $$$
Drive shaft Cardan joint can't be rebuilt if its like mine, wouldn't be a bad Idea to have an extra one of those. I had to buy a new one.
