Hey My Tacoma Brothers and Sisters,

My buddy Sean and I have another video for you. In this video, we show you how to replace a u-joint on your driveshaft. The first time we performed this job, we used a balljoint c-press which is one of the common tools used for this job. We found that due to the way the Toyota yokes are shaped, a c-press didn't work that great. We then tried a 2 jaw puller and employed some other techniques that we found worked much better for us.

Here's the video and Enjoy the Show!

I saw that Tiger tool but figured that a 2 jaw puller could do the same exact thing.

After Jordan I struggled so much with the balljoint c-press and I thought that a 2 jaw puller might work better and it did. So we finished the first u-joint replacement with the puller. Afterward, when I was doing more research, I did see the Tiger tool and thought, that's pretty cool, but it's basically the same thing the 2 jaw puller is doing. So, I went on T4R asking for a donor slip yoke so we could film the job again and Andy (aka sleepydad) hooked us up.

Good deal. It also came to my attention that the u joints have different part numbers on different parts of the shaft.

Great video! 2 questions. Is the PN the same for the 2 ends of the rear drive shaft? IE: where it mounts to the rear diff and where it mounts to the transmission. ALso, it looks like the -60 pN mentioned in the video is for the front drive shaft u joints. Am I correct?

The part numbers would be different. This is just the part number for the rear u-joint that attaches to the 3rd member.
