Everyone at the detail shop knows I wish I could get more Saturdays off, including my boss! My boss is a pretty cool guy, who grew up in a military family and also happens to be an Army veteran. He is a good guy, and I never thought I'd find a boss I like anywhere near as much as the general manager at Puck, but I did.

Also, one of my supervisors is a fellow 2nd Gen owner and a member of TW who reads my thread from time to time. He is also pretty cool.

What it all boils down is that I took too many Saturdays off this year and I have to wait until next year to get more.

I do have facial hair, but I tested the mask and it does exactly what I want it to do...

It forms a good enough seal that my glasses don't fog up when I'm breathing or when I sigh (unlike disposable respirators). It also seems to do a much better job of keeping odors out.

I forgot to post this when it happened...

Last Sunday, while delivering for Uber Eats, I officially made it to halfway between 90K and 91K!

My trusty fan has pretty much gone to the great beyond after more than 30 years of reliable service!

Seriously, look at the serial number...

Manufactured in 1985! My parents bought this thing 3-4 years before I was born! Hell, they weren't even married yet!

It was working this morning, but I've been leaving it running constantly because for the last few weeks if I shut off for an extended period of time, it required some effort to get it running. Now, I can hear the motor whirring but the blades will not spin at all. I'm thinking of opening up the fan and seeing if she's beyond salvation...

It might not even be safe to try to operate at that point lol. They don’t make stuff like they use to.

Used to have one similar that i had to give the blade a spin to get it going. Try that.

We have our AC set at 74-75, and still use fans to keep us cool. My mom bought a metal fan in 1994, and it's still working to this day.

My dad has a Patton Air Circulator from about 1992. Remember those? With the distinctive blue blades?

And 74-75?!?! My house has dual A/C units for first and second floor, and we keep the upstairs at 68 in the summer!

The blue aprons at work are starting to show their age, so I bought myself a new one with matching sleeves on Amazon for less than $15. The new one is so much better than the blue ones in every possible way. It is also available in like 8 different colors (I chose white as you can see).

    IMG_0458.jpg

The sleeves not only keep citrus juice off of my arms, but keep them warm as well (we keep the A/C running year round in prep kitchen since it gets so hot; It's a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim inverter, so running it in cold weather won't damage it)

    IMG_0456.jpgIMG_0457.jpg

    And guess what...?

I showed my new apron to the cook/dishwasher, and now he has "apron envy" and wants a couple for himself!

I saw a Subaru commercial offering 0% APR financing, and I was about to get rid of the Tacoma and buy a Crosstrek. However, after visiting the Subaru website, I found out the offer only applies to 2019 Outback models, and I can't afford an Outback.

My parents want me to get a new car because of all the safety features like "Blind Spot Assist" and "Automatic Braking," etc...

I think my Tacoma is just fine; There's nothing wrong with it and it's paid for!
