Weekly Photography Challenge Thread (see first post rules and then the poll at top before entering)

Winona is Sioux, meaning first born daughter. Almost 30K people live there your in the big time city now. It is the home and headquarters of Fastenal. It is a Mississippi River town. The Winona Sportsman Club made me a Lifetime member for setting up their website back when my youngest son shot ATA trap. I also shoot eagles there on the river.

It is a college town and yes there is graffiti take your camera. The bluffs around the river have graffiti on them although it is now outlawed. I recommend you do not climb the bluffs or Sugar Loaf at this time of year, too many people die doing it in the summer as it is.

There is enough graffiti to go around in Winona. But the bridges especially the undersides are prime targets. Be careful and wear good boots. I even considered making a run over there this weekend LOL. Have a hankering for a piece of triple chocolate pecan pie though so will head up to Red Wing instead. One bridge over the Mississippi River is actually nick named Graffiti Bridge. Just saying...

While your in Winona Bloedow's bakery is a must. Bacon_Maple_Chocolate_Doughnuts. But they are all good and they have been ranked #1 in the State more than once.

 

That’s a tag. He’s marking territory like a less evolved species.

 

I figured as much. Those same "tags" all over Opelika. Easy to remove when editing a photo, Ha! Not so easy to remove in real life.

Its not much but it is about all thats around where im near. Not really any areas to do that. I live near alot of mountains.

 

Daggum Geminid Meteor shower best viewing tonight and tomorrow and we got more cloud cover over the next 48-72 hours than Seattle. Jeez. And rain to go with it!

Sorry.. it was a moving target

 

These new gang bangers just don’t put in the effort old school gangsters tagging. Then it was hard core art and would tag over a guys work was the
ultimate “f you”.
Millennials! lol they sign their name and only in black krylon. Old school graffiti was real art! Some of those old guys took 20-30 minutes. They’d hit it Monday and finish over 5 days. It was like a time lapse drawing. Now it’s just some guy named owl or a pitchfork up or down depending on which turf

 

Ugh today is not the day for me to be having to work late! I want to be out shooting this beautiful sunset we are having tonight.

 

Wow. Thats crazy.. haven't seen a sunset like that in a long time. Would be nice

 

I took the drone up for a quick fly but I’m terrible at adjusting it’s camera settings. Will take a look at the few I shot later if I have time

They were either super under or over exposed. Not sure I can pull them off the drone tonight. Finishing up some this stupid fucking WBS and budget estimates and gotta shower and leave for my girls work Christmas party
