That's usually the best parts. I do love a good cat fight.

Only 47k Tacomas. Less then 2 months of sales. Pretty small percentage.

Oh yeah! I'm looking (read: smoothing the path forward with the wife) for an eduro that I can convert back and forth.

Thank goodness those don't have rear drum brakes. :anonymous:

All seriousness aside.....TW for the win...again.

Most of the affected owners will probably find out sometime in January....but TW members get the word "real time".

Then they just get pissed because they have to wait 3 months for Toyota to release the fix and new parts.

So glad I bought one of the first turd gens before they started letting the line workers smoke weed on breaks and quality went downhill :kona:.

Great....I pick up my new 2019 tomorrow. I'm new to Toyota after owning Honda's all my life. If the Ridgeline had a manual transmission option it would have been a tough choice for me.

Wow Toyota is on top of it's issues. I've read that Ford F-150's have had master cylinder leaks for years, yet no recall.

I would rather wait and get good parts than have a fix rushed out just to have that repair fail. I don't mind a wait, as long as I know what to look out for, in this case brake pedal feeling.

On a positive note, if my brakes go out I get to find out early!

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
My '04 Highlander was recalled in '11 for a M/C 'cup' replacement.

No big deal. Of the 47k on this list, I'm guessing 46,998 will never even have, or know they have, a leak.

The other 2 will be on this forum, find the leak, and stay topped up until the dealer has the parts.

Then there is the crowd that doesn't know the M/C level drops as the brake pads wear, and they'll be panic sticken that they have the leak.
