Love it! You rig is exactly the direction mine is heading and the PrinSu is clutch. I would have had one years ago when he started building them had I had the money then. I'm also a big mountain and motocross guy so your rig speaks to me even more. Looking forward to seeing what more you add on and what ideas you have for stealth camping!

hey bro.. I was trying to find my post on how you moutned the plano case to your roof. I couldnt find it. Could you tell me again what you did? I think it required drilling into the case to have it mounted correct? and if you remember, could you mention the bolts/spacers/nuts you used to mount? Ill have my plano box this friday, want to have it mounted over the weekend :D

Yep, drilled through the case in 4 spots. Used 1/4-20 stainless carriage bolts as usual, these were 1 1/4" long, IIRC. Flat washer and nylock nut inside the case.

You mention 1 1/4 long, would you have gone shorter or was that length perfect?

Just wanted to bump this since it's an awesome thread. The truck is looking awesome and I very much enjoyed the NWXPDTN site, some awesome trips and photography!

I'm over on Orcas Island, hoping to pick up a First Gen soon as an upgrade from my '89 Pickup. This thread is inspirational for sure. Hit me up if you're ever heading over this way, we have some good MTB trails ;)

Thanks a ton! I really appreciate the kind words.

A couple of my coworkers have mountain biked over on Orcas and loved it. I'm hoping to make it out there at least once this season.

I'm considering the supercharger for my 2003 with ECTS-i throttle body. Did you install the other recommended items besides the supercharger, URD pulley and 7th injector? As I was reading through the entire thread, I was thinking that maybe the upgraded, higher flow fuel pump (190 LPH) may have helped but the 7th injector kit comes with it. So, did you have that installed and still have issues? I want my truck to be bulletproof, so to get more power without a S/C, I may spend the money on a re-gear and a front locker while I'm at it.

They sure do! Xtracab only, not the double cab.

Potentially a dumb question, but is all the stuff attached to the rack locked on (hi-lift, case, etc)? With all of the vehicle break-ins happening at trailheads and stuff these days, I wouldn't want to come back and have all that stuff gone!

ps. I've been an occasional anonymous lurker on here, but your truck brought me out of hiding. ;)

Not a dumb question at all! Short answer: everything is secured or very easily able to be secured.

Having said that, I’ve never had a problem at the countless trailheads I’ve parked at over the years. Even when I only had a RTT on an open bed rack with all my camping gear just sitting in the bed, nothing was ever taken or rifled through. Of course that may just be luck of the draw... Honestly, I am far more worried/anxious when I park in cities (ie DT Seattle) than trailheads haha
