As much as I love this Toyota the money I paid for it I really wish I could have just told them to not put speakers in it and whatever it cost them to deduct that.

I know all manufacture cut corners but it just amazes me that such an expensive vehicle would come with nothing better than alarm clock speakers. For a hundred bucks I replaced all four door speakers in the sound is night and day difference even with stock head unit power.

A little something every chance we get.
Welcome, and like the other inquiring minds, those speakers are...?
I updated the audio, but not the speakers or power. Heck, I have hearing aids! But better speakers sound better going in!

    Welcome & Hello

I was amazed at how light the factory ones were. Felt like a 6x9 Frisbee. Lol.

You aren't kidding. I was in amazed that the magnets on the 6x9s were actually smaller than the 6.5s in the rear.

The sound system in my '18 sounds like the one I had in my 71 Vega !

I ended up installing Kicker 6x9 3-ways in the front lower doors and Memphis 1 inch tweeters in front upper doors and Kicker 6.5 inch in the back doors. Also installed a Kicker 4 channel 300 watt amp. It sounds amazing IMO. Just 1 of the new Kicker 6x9 speakers weighs more than all 6 of the stock speakers together.

Waiting on my replacement tweeters. I ordered the ones on Amazon that are the Subaru WRX ones that drop right in. Also glued the little logos on the door panels.

Definitely worth the $100 spent. I didn't think that the tweeters would make a difference after already upgrading my door speakers but I was sadly mistaken. Not only did I get the separation my front speakers produce fuller and much clearer sound. It's as if I put an amp on it. It does not sound like a factory head unit. The best part is it's all plug-in play.
