Almost time to upgrade. My Xc’s getting pretty tired. I rode a Sherco last spring I liked a lot. We’ll see.

Went for a quick ride after work and before the rains return tonight. Had two people blindly pull out in front of me within 1/4 mile of my house.

Parked the truck in the garage last night so I could ride the bike to work this morning. Forecast was 75 and sunny.
Woke up to 40* and took the truck instead and sipped my hot coffee. 10 minutes into my 1.5 hour commute and the sun comes out and warms everything up. :frusty:
The same commute would have been 45 min on the bike.

That's quite a commute! I do 37 miles= 1 hour. They're 4-laning the road right now and my hope is that when warmer temps arrive, my commute will be significantly shorter.

Can anyone recommend brighter LED running lights that will NOT melt the lens covers on my running lights? It's wishful thinking but, after two close calls tonight, I'm hoping to make myself more visible on the street.

Are you wanting to replace existing bulbs with LED bulbs or replace the whole light? From what I've seen you are better off replacing the whole light and not just the bulb.

Also, people will still pull out right in front of you though. I do notice that I have less people do it when I'm on my bike with the Denali driving lights than the one without.

    You talking about These?

I don’t want to yank off the stock lights, but I’d consider adding supplemental lights to the forks.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I know diode dynamics is known for their ultra bright led boards but they run about $100. Though they have no reported lens problems that I know of.
I went cheap and bought the $16 bulbs listed below (products mentioned) for my brake/running lights and haven’t had any problems with melted covers yet. Way brighter than stock through smoked lenses but I’m sure DD would be brighter. They should be the same ones for your bike if you’re interested.

Threw some heated handle grips on my bike a few weeks back. Still pretty cold in the AM so I found that bottom line temp of ride or not lol

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Just stumbled across this thread, and while I enjoy my Yotas, bikes are my passion.
My username gets right to the point. I put over 1k a month on my bikes.

Live in the southeast PM me, let’s ride out. Hard enduro, single track, twisters...I am down.
