    That’s $20, not 20% ;)

    Thanks for posting it though!

On another note I have had great luck with HF tools over the years. A couple of things I have particularly liked:
    • Ratcheting combination wrench sets
    • 25" breaker bar
    • 1000 pound capacity engine stand
    • 2 ton foldable shop crane
    • 3 ton jack stands (get the 6 ton ones if you are lifted though, my 3 tons will not reach the frame now that I am lifted but work on the rear axle fine)
    • Rubber pads for jack stands
    • The 1/4" Torque wrench is accurate enough for fasteners that require inch-lb settings (I have a Northern Tool torque wrench for the big stuff)

    That is pure genius.

There is a vendor of motorcycle maintenance parts that does a similar thing, although the mark up is maybe 25% on top of HF. Stuff like the oil filter removal tool, safety wire and pliers, picks, etc.

That’s probably as good or better a margin than most HF stores get! lol

Hard to say? Their new stores, systems, and branded tools seem to show that they are raking it in somehow. That, or the prices that we pay for other tool brands have a staggering margins? Given the sponsorships and promos seen around, I have to wonder.

I just edited that post to show the sold HF items, as I linked the same light before. I love the people that sell HF coupons on Ebay, with some getting outrageous sold prices.

I never thought of being an entrepreneur like this gentleman/woman and bundle a group of ten free HF flashlights for $6 each or just $59.99 for all 10 => https://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-of-10-...=item1a6733821c:g:gLkAAOSwq6Vb-x1Y:rk:24:pf:0

You can also buy 12 free HF tape measures for $5.83 each or $69.99 for all 12 (how can they afford free shipping is my question) => https://www.ebay.com/itm/113421460515?ViewItem=&item=113421460515

Just looked at this sellers feedback and this must be a joke =>
A+ Good Product. Fair Price. Fast Deliver. What more can you ask? Buyer:
    e***l ( 158303[IMG])
    During past month
    LOT of 12--Tape measures--Pittsburg Quikfind 25ftx1in. (#113348573639) US $110.00
It says someone paid $110 for 12 free tape measures or $9.16 each. :( :annoyed:

I thought you were going to say the plastic hinge snapped after dropping it, but to fault the light on a wear item like the battery doesn't seem justified given the $20 price. There is only one button on the light, did the on/off button stopped working on the ones you purchased, first time hearing a complaint about that?

lights get used in a shop environment, only 1 hinge snapped but the rest had either non charging ports, dead batteries, or even non responding buttons all within a 6 month period

since all of this happening i have switched to mac lights

It is great that you gave them a shot. My M.O. for HF has always been light duty / DIY good but bad if using the stuff to get paid. With that, I have never been let down.

It does suck to pay the prices that MAC or SnapOn throw at you, esp if you know that someone else is going to abuse the hell out of it.

Just got this service cart for $110. Not half bad if it’s not going to get rolled around a lot. It’s pop riveted together instead of spot welded. Not even close to the snap on cart I use but pretty nice for $110.

im not even using the items to get paid so great assumption. i have a shop i use to work on my vehicles and projects, so they get used a lot on a day to day basis on my free time.

I had good experience with them up until they failed one after the other, even one of the big hood mounted lights died from a few months of use. For 20 bucks they were worth the shot but after going through a few of them quickly I went with a warrantied option

Yeah, I was trying to read between the lines. It sounded like you were running place with a crew? Not so bad to be called a pro. :D No one would ever accuse me of that.
