Just add Quick Disconnect - Rated to 5ft antenna. 90º options are kinda iffy

Haha that’s the exact disconnect I currently have on my Amazon list, along with the antenna tuner I’ve been dragging my feet on lol. I’m using the 4ft Firefly which just so happens to fit perfectly right behind the lower rear seat cushions, I don’t even have to touch the seats to take it out or put it away which is nice.

Just spend the next week clicking through the vendors list in the forums tab above.

It's a well refined list of people that TW trust and have really great products (eff you PF). Almost all of them have active reps on here you can message too. And don't forget to ask if they offer a TW discount.

I personally have personal experience with headstrong off-road and @*TRD* can hit up your suspension needs if you have any. And that's not to take away from other vendors. Other members will put in about them too and how they can help.

Figured if you're coming from the tuner world you'll be hitting the mods hard. Dont forget to check the 3rd gen form for tips and tricks and no cost mods.

    And welcome !

Thanks man! I’ve read nothing but good things about @HeadStrong Off-Road so it looks like they’ll have my business when I’m finished beating the crap out of my OE Bilsteins.

Also talk to @*TRD* . If you go with foxes from them, they can do very affordable custom valving before they ship them based on your set up and use

Tuning SWR on antenna is easy. Just know you run the chance of blowing the internals on your radio if you transmit too much with High SWR. I got this one, for CB but it's also available at truck stops like Loves if there is one near you.

Shoot me a PM if you have any questions. I have a 6ft stick on the back of mine, used to have a 4ft back there. But with the 6ft I've gotten a confirmed 7mi in the middle of the forest with a lot of RF dissipation. But my SWR is 1:1 so lol

Haha yea I try not to use it very much until I get it tuned properly, I’ve only had the setup for about a month now. I really appreciate all the info man! Once I tune the antenna I’ll take her out into the valleys in the local mountains with some buddies and see how it goes. If the 4ft doesn’t suffice I’ll step up to the 6ft. Once the cb is all dialed in I’ll have to grab one of those baofeng handhelds to keep in touch with the ham guys out on the trails.

You're more than welcome for the information. That's what TW is here for. Make sure you get your HAM license! I have some great pointers on studying for the Technicians test as well when you get to that point, You can get it in a day.

I just added magnet mount antenna to my roof and while I'm saving up for a mobile HAM radio, I'm connecting my Baofeng to it. Staying connected is a great way to help stay alive. Stay safe out there.
