So, the better half made up her mind on what she wanted. It was a bit much for her, but seeing mine in the driveway every day for the last 9 days made up her mind. She’s going to grab it on Thursday. It’s on hold with a deposit now.

Started on the light project tonight. And yeah this will be some serious time getting this to look right with all,the wiring and all is my guess. Lights are mounted and next will be hooking it all up. Also clipped in the grill the Runnin4Tacos Raptor look alike lights. I went with 4 so not really a copy cat look.

No snorkel or MT, correct? The AT is much better. I’ve driven both in the 2019.

Can't say the AT is better than the MT, but can't say the opposite either, it all comes down to preferences.

I can definitely say the ECU is night and day from the 2019 and the 2017. My Pro performs much better than the 2017. When I test drove the MT, the ONLY thing that kept going through my mind was “what is the hype about these MT’s?” I just wasn’t impressed.

I would say there is nothing impressive about any MT, it is more about how you drive it yourself. The whole point of the MT is to have direct control over the gears, but if you don't mind the AT hunting for gears all the time, by all means go for it.

I rarely see complaints about the MT while this forum is full of people angry about their AT though.

I wasn’t trying to offend anyone. I just didn’t see why anyone would order and wait 3 months for an MT vs buying an AT that was already available.

As I stated above. 2 years later and I can definitely say Toyota has worked out some ECU issues. My 19 is much much better, though I didn’t mind the 2017.

I prefer AT now days. Especially since I live in a area where traffic is really bad during rush hour. Plus I don’t mind it on a rig. I’ve owned a MT rig before and crawling to me is definitely different compared to an AT. Plus the wife doesn’t know how to drive MT so got the AT because of that.

If it were a street car/truck for racing/going fast, different story. I’d get a MT in a heartbeat
