Morimoto 2.5" Square HID projectors with Osram Nightbreakers and Square Morimoto Halos.
Fair point! Kinda hard to remove air lockers :D But maybe I'll start by selling my HID swap. Anyone need some sweet 5x7 retrofit Morimoto D2S headlights??

Clean and low miles, but it’s a Florida truck so I’d want to inspect that frame really carefully before getting serious. Also no TRD or 4WD so you may be able to talk them down lower.

I paid like $24k for my 2004 4x4 TRD doublecab.

But that was back in 2005, lol...

I'm sure some people remember what mine looked like. $8600 was the selling price and the buyer paid for the transporter which was told was around a $1000. I needed to move it down the road so I priced it aggressively.

Selling it locally wasn't happening, there's really no market for 1st gens in ND.

Depends on why and how it was rebuilt. Also depends on if you're looking for a daily driver or a rock crawler.

If everything on the truck checks out, it shouldn't really matter HOW it got there: a proper repair is a proper repair. There are plenty of trucks out there with clean titles that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

    i don't know, i just don't know

is it just personal preference or something?
they become more like SUVs and less of trucks in a sense at this point imo
4Runners are what you need i think for the plenty of interior room if that is what you need

i guess its something to go back through this thread for past 7~8 years and see TW 'historical' ramblings of prices and whatnots
not a whole much has changed it seems

the 3rd gens are out since this thread started
and more than likely some of the 1st gens are priced higher than 2nd gens out there

1st gen for the win or wot

I found a 2001 TRD 5-speed manual access cab 3.4L for my dad a few months ago. Needed a couple things, but after everything it’s a super clean truck with 160k miles and well worth the $10k.

That’s about the same as I paid for my 2001, similar miles, 11 years ago

That was the sales price from the dealer.

It was a year old, and even then, they laughed at me when I offered them 20k for it. They knew even then there was a line out the door for this truck - demand is even higher now...

I still got a couple grand knocked off as 24k was their asking price, too.

Just picked up my first Tacoma. 1999 Prerunner, 154K miles, no rust, frame is clean as a whistle. Everything works as it should, no check engine light. Previous owner had it for 11 years and only put 50k on it.

    Paid $4700

Did I get a good deal?
