Rebuilt my power steering pump today. I was a little concerned that I toasted it when my rack started leaking so badly. Pulled it apart and was surprised by how clean it was inside with very little signs of wear and no dirt. Everything was within spec according to the fsm. Put some new seals in and reassembled.

Still up in the air if I'm buying a new rack finding a used one or if mine is salvageable. Made a mistake while I had mine in the press...

Missed Rock Therapy this year to go to the Ultra 4 championship in Reno(not that my truck would have been ready). If anyone has a chance to make it to one of these, I highly recommend it. It's incredible the amount of abuse these rigs can take, even the stock class. There was only one ifs rig in the stock class, a first gen 4r. I was impressed that the 22re was turning 35s! He was doing pretty well until catching a turn and almost rolling. Almost makes me want to cage mine and get some 35's!

Started making a little progress on this shitbox. Not impressed at all at the OEM bushing that come with the rack. Found some pitting on the d ring also. Hopefully this doesn't cause any issues. On my old rack the tube was pitted pretty badle and I was going through the D bushing in a few thousand miles.

Also my shitbox is such a shitbox it decided to start leaking from the driver axle seal just sitting in the garage the last 3 months....

Also found the T100 to be low on coolant, reservoir was empty and the rad took a couple cups of fluid before it was full. Hopefully this shitbox holds on until the Taco is turbo'd and back on the road.

One of my front diff seals started leaking out of the blue. Turned out there was much debris between the seal and the dust shield on the CV. Cleaning it up demonstrated the seal itself was undamaged. No leak after reassembly. Might be worth investigating.

Pulled the front diff and opened it up. Nothing obvious as to why the locker isn't working but the ring and pinion are not in the prettiest of condition. Some small chips missing here and there but nothing major. I'll probably take it to work and NDT them both to make sure there are no cracks and run it.

@thefatkid or anyone else mind throwing there opinion on what's going on in my front diff. There are small chips missing and a chip on the pinion. I'm not seeing any damage on the mesh surfaces so I'm leaning towards it being OK to continue to run it. I did notice the pinion bearing cage is tweaked a little as well. I pulled it out because my locker isn't working as it should any more. Haven't pulled that out to see what's going on yet.

You didn’t happen to use Yukon gears did you? I’ve seen a couple times first hand Yukon gears start “flaking” like that. I never figured out a specific reason I just wrote it off as Yukon’s being slightly lower quality than say nitros or something
