For a Toyota elocker yes. An arb air locker or a detroDe trutrack will fit and not need an axle swap. I just got a complete axle pretty cheap. The original plan was an arb lol

Very nice, was looking at the ARB lockers but their a little pricey for my budget... just pricing everything out right now before i start upgrades.

Detroit trutrack is pretty good for the price. There are cheaper lockers but the decline road driving comfort.

Good tires and a locker/ lsd will take you a long way

That's why I was originally looking at arb. The elocker is nice but definitely was not a simple bolt on and had lots of random hiccups to address

Hey everyone, I have a 2006 2WD 5 lug taco which is my first vehicle that I’m looking to give some upgrades. Now me being 17, I really don’t know much of what I’m doing but I know what I want the result to be. I heard it’s not possible to lift a 5 lug 3 inches but how can that be?? My goal is to have a 3” lift with a bigger blacked out wheel/tire combo.. I don’t want to do off-roading to the extreme or anything like that, I’m just going for the lifted look. Does anyone have any advice on how I can do that?

3 inches is pretty much the max we can do without changing uppers which are a pain to find.

Personally i think if you're going for that either get the fat bobs kit or the ready lift kit, spacer and AAL. Get some 30" A/T (max) with some nice black steel wheels. Remeber if you go too big gearing is going to get messed up and you'll lose your ability to tow properly (if you do that). I wanted the lift for a while but just went for the 235/75/15 cooper discoverer at3's. Does me well, although on some twisty, rocky trails i have scraped once or twice. If you're trying to match the 6 lugs thatll pretty much do it. Were only about 3" lower.
