And we have a winner. Have both of my sons, not that I want them at their age now LOL. Oldest is headed to Boston on the 29th to start his life over on his own again. I do miss having a wife to be honest and did from the beginning when what's her name went to "go find herself" after 25 years. You and many others on here are blessed, and it shows that you know it. Well done Chance

    Love the toy chest.
Old school or does it have 14 safety features

My boy opened his up leaned in and fell in.
Laughed my ass off. He didn’t cry as it was full of toys and he kinda layed down on top of them.
He looked up and I was next to him with a “ok now what do I do “ look on his face.. great memories...

I signed up for a kid at church and ended up with a 3 yo boy. He had tonka toys on his list. I found him a big, old school, steel dump truck. I hope that goes over well.

And memories like that are priceless...

    Good morning friends, happy Sunday.

On the subject of toy boxes, I've made a few for the family kids when they were born. Only safety item is a slow close hinge.

Here's the one I made for my daughter (already) 17 years ago. Note, it's currently a coffee table and has hand turned bun feet that you can't see in the photo.

Yup, cherry hardwood. It's the species I prefer to use the most. Made my kitchen cabinets and a couple of end tables out of it too.
