quick trans question for 2.7 guys

    Hey Guys,

    Im not near my truck for the weekend but a friend called with a question and id like to help him out. Do the 2.7 3rd gen trucks have a trans drain plug and dipstick like the gen 2 2.7s? Please tell me its not the sealed BS like the v6 trucks get...

    uh oh..

    Service manual says it's the AC60E for both 3.5 and 2.7.

    Refill plug, overflow plug and drain plug. No dipstick.

    Not able to go look at mine either, but IIRC, there is a dipstick and drain plug.

    (I was worried too...)

    The sealed trans really isn’t that big of a deal. It’s still pretty easy to check / change fluid. It adds a couple minutes time.
