If you dont want to spend the extra $70, the long reach might not be nessesary. I just wanted to get the best one I could for the cash I had at the time for it.

Will probably only use it for oil changes and tire rotations on mine and the wife's mini van. Plus 2 3 Ton Jack Stands

than the one you posted up should be fine. thats what most people use. Low profile will help with the van for sure.

I'd buy the 6 ton jack stands. Not because they are stronger, but they are 7" taller. On your lifted truck it makes it a bit easier and stabler to have the bigger ones.

Makes sense but then I would have to lift the mini van up a lot higher as well though correct?

The 3 ton jack stands only have a three and a half inch lower minimum height. However they also have a slightly smaller base area and a lower upper height by 7 or 8 inches.
The lightweight of the aluminum stands that you link to is nice, but I don't think the weight savings over steel is really worth the money. It's not like you're really carrying the things around too much.

There's always a right tool for the job, and that includes jackstands. I have a taller more stable pair for the truck, and a smaller set for things like my wife's civic. Theres times where i have to use all four, including the smaller set, and I wish i had 4 larger stands instead of two. It works, but i keep the jack under as an added safety measure.
