anybody know of a good exhaust that would pair up well with the 2.7? I kinda want exhaust but I don’t want it to sound like a rice rocket! I’m wondering if any exhaust system out there would give it a more deep/aggressive sound. And yes I know it’s not going to sound like a v8 with exhaust, just seeing if there’s anything that would make it sound better than stock, not worse!

    Thanks for your time

Most of the prebuilt exhaust systems aren't great and leave you with a raspy drone. How loud do you want it to be? I'd recommend just picking a muffler and having it installed with the stock piping.

Not super super loud just a little bit louder and deeper I guess. Any recommendation on the muffler

If you're looking for something just a tiny bit louder than stock a dynomax 17217 ultra flow would work good. If you want it louder then a magnaflow 11225 is the same design but smaller.

Both are straight through mufflers with fiberglass packing, that'll keep the noise deep instead of making it more hollow and raspy like a chambered muffler will, but still make it louder, especially at high rpm.

The muffler meineke put on my truck is slightly louder than stock. Its a universal fit Truck muffler, nothing special. Sounds good when I drive next to a wall.

Frame was replaced, still rust galore (not exactly modification;)
    I picked up the MBRP
XP S5332409 Cat-Back 2.5 in, very well made though included gasket seal was the wrong one (nobiggie). Otherwise, well worth the $. Built well, nice look, sound rich/deep.... but not getting the true sound, flow: I have leaks further up so I'm looking to replace the rest of the system Honestly, my main objective..not having to replace the sh^t stock aluminized rot-in 2yrs muffler. Anyone have suggestions on headers/cat? I've been lookin at these Doug Thorley headers.. never replaced headers so tryna cover all the bases..front 2 back baby:muscleflexing:
