New Taco owner, lookin' to lift!

Hey guys ive driven jeeps all my life, but just picked up a 2000 taco 2.7L reg cab from florida and plan on getting a lift under it. Just curious on what you guys are running for ~3" lift?

i was either leaning towards the skyjacker 3" with full strut and AAL, or the daystar 2.5" + 1" BL.

Open to opinions for sure! would like to get at least a 31" KM2 under it, or possibly a 32" MT.

also will i need to get another set of rims with more offest so the tires wont rub?

Heres the old girl, just turned 100 000 miles:

 

if you can find some bilstien 5100s with a aal out back and if you 31 wont rub but you will need wheel spacers to run 32 if you actually wheel it

 

I've got ToyTec front 3" spacers and a 3" AAL out back, I've got more than enough room for my 31" KM2s. I wish I would have went with some kind of 32" tires, I ran 33x12.5 perfectly fine with very minor rubbing under flex.

 

Look for a Toytec lift, or for Billy 5100. Both affordable ways of gaining a little lift.

Great lookin truck bud, all the options listed above are great choices to lift the Taco

 

Believe it or not but you might be able to run 32's with minimal rubbing with no lift, though I wouldn't recommend that if your intent is to take in on the trail. You certainly do not need 3" of lift to easily clear 32's.

thanks for all the info guys, i really like the look of that toytec one, i might see if i can switch the daystar for that one instead. i dont plan on wheeling this one too seriousally ill use my old jeep comanche for that.

ill post some before and after pics once i get it installed.!

 

You'll like the ToyTec, can't go wrong with it and it's damn sturdy. I had a hairline crack ran down the center of my daystar leveling kit after a year of heavy wheeling.

 

You running stock UCA w/ ur 31s??
