    Hello all,

I am new to the Tacoma world and have a few questions.

I am looking into getting a 4" BDS lift kit for my truck. I am looking to run two different wheel and tire setups, one for daily driving and one for off roading, mainly mudding. BDS states that you cannot run a 17" or smaller wheel due to hitting the tie rod's. I am currently looking to get a set of 16x8 Volk TE37's with a 0 offset. Has anybody run a similar wheel size with this lift or a similar lift? Which lift are you running?

Does anybody have the Honeybadger front bumper? Any pics installed? Pros/cons? How hard was it to install?

Sorry for the questions that have probably been answered on here already.

Just so you are aware, the tpms sensors won’t be able to work in both sets of wheels on the truck. For whatever reason the truck can only remember 1 set of wheels. Have to have them reprogrammed every time if you want tpms functions. May not be a big deal as the off road tires could be the ones without sensors, but wanted to let you know.

Why not contact BDS directly and ask them why they advise against smaller wheels? My bet is that there is a very good reason for them doing so.

    Also, why 4"?

Been looking at a few trucks on custom offsets 4" seems to fit the best with the wheel/tire setup, also considered 3" but couldn't find to many. BDS is closed on the weekends and just emailed them yesterday.

Actually didn't know they wouldn't read two sets. Thanks for the info!

What does the backspacing have to do with trying to run such a small diameter wheel? Are you proposing that smaller diameter wheels would work if you simply find a set that has less backspacing than the 4.5" BDS themselves recommend? Are you suggesting that BDS is wrong about their own kit?

    I'm confused.

Never once said they were wrong? So I'm confused. Lower offset=further away from suspension components. It was just a question. Thanks for your input.
