    2018 TRD OFFROAD DCSB Quicksand
    My name is Jess from North Idaho.

    Bought a new 2018 TRD Offroad DCSB Quicksand earlier in the month. Previous vehicle was a used 2007 FJ Cruiser that served me well for almost 6 years. Main reason why I decided to go with another Toyota product.

    No real big plans as far as modifications. I had a Jeep Wrangler a few years ago that I was a bit rough with and my budget doesn't allow me to abuse my daily driver.

    Forest service/logging roads are about the extent of what I intend to tackle.

    Next year I'm looking at a possible career change that will involve a lot of camping and traveling in the woods and I figure the truck will do a great job taking me where I need to be.

    Going on 7 months of ownership now but due to having a work vehicle and being out of town for a month I only have just over 2100 miles on it.

    No real mods done. Put in some vent visors, tailgate lettering and just recently mounted a shovel in the bed. No plans to do anything much beyond rock sliders and maybe an upgraded recovery point.

    I haven’t driven it as much as some but a lot of the gripes don’t seem to bother me. The transmission shifts different than other vehicles but if I step on the gas it goes and if I need to go quicker I step harder.

    I feel that the Off-road rides a bit rough onroad (not sure if the others are any different). I found that a bit of weight in the bed seems to smooth that out.

    All in all no complaints so far.
