I've been running a K&N in mine for over 200,000 miles. I have never had a single problem. If you are having problems with your MAF, you're doing it wrong.

 

I'm not doing anything wrong. The K&N is just an inherently bad filter. The MAF is all gunked up because of it.

 

My AFE looks like dog shit now. even after washing it. I wonder if its doing more harm than good now??

 

Usually high flow, means poor filtration. Without forced induction it isn't giving you any extra power so there isn't much reason to have one.

 

Even with forced induction I don't think it's worth it if you wheel...when I switched back to paper filters I didn't notice any performance difference at all, and the filtration is 100x better

 

New Dakars , shocks , u-bolts , brake proportioning valve extension bracket , removed spare tire mount , stil need to install my extended rear brake line and cut the exhaust.
Had to make a bracket for my shock reservoir on the passenger side . Thinking I will make some bracket to move them both up to the bottom of the bed rails.

 

Yeah I mean there will be some difference but even an SC taco isn't a huge power machine so likely the large stock filter is still big enough to not be a massive restriction

 

So don't trust graduated buckets from the Homeless Despot for figuring out how much ATF you need to replace. I added 3-400 more ml and truck isn't rolling back on hills much any more.

I had the OEM Koito bulb still in 2 years ago. I was driving across country so I upgraded to Osram NightBreakers and Holy sheeeeiiiit did the light output seem way more.
