I purchased Pro wheels from a fellow TW member. Can’t wait to get them mounted. I see you also have chrome bumper caps. Are you planning to keep them chrome?

No, hopefully I can get a pair of the color matched bumper caps on here or paint them myself one day

I’ve been debating going with black or color matched bumper caps, although my preference is color matched. A nearby body shop refused to even attempt painting the chrome bumper caps, so I’m considering other options. As of now, overlays through BumperShellz is at the top of my list. It would be nice if Toyota sold the color matched bumper caps.

Did y’all sand the chrome surface before spraying it, and if so, what did you use for sanding?

Hell no. Just clean the rims REALLY WELL before spraying. The more coats, the better. And if you don't like it, you can peel it off.

Nope all I did was clean it really good mask off the surrounding area and put multiple coats starting with a light coat on a nice hot day. This summer I’m going to put a new coat on it just to freshen it up.

Looking at trading my 2015 for a 18 or 19 quicksand. Without going back through the whole thread what are my options as far as packages? TRD Sport/Off-Road? Local dealer offered me $26k for my 2015 MGM w/30k on it. Help is appreciated!! 6' bed is a must! Really like the Quicksands!

The big option is tech package with JBL and moonroof. Not sure how tall you are but if you're tall you may want to check your headroom. I think that's the major package. Rest are accessories.

Let us know if join the QS crew.

You get more options thrown in on the Off-Road than the Sport, for almost the same price. The Off-Road ride is smoother than the Sports, due to the stiffer suspension on the Sport. "Crawl Control" & "Rear Locker" is a beauty if you like Off-Roading.

Bottom line is, the Off-Road will take you farther than the Sport

    NOOOOOO

Just clean it good and spray it on. More coats = better. Like... do a lot of coats.

You can also color match if you want too whilst maintaining the ability to remove it. Just derp it good, then spray color matched paint over the top once the dip has fully dried. It'll give you a good idea of what it'll look like without full commitment.

    You can get quicksand here:
    http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/

It's what I used on my sliders. I also derped and color matched my front emblem. I don't mind the textured look, but if you layer the paint on enough you can sand it smooth. I did the emblem this way because I wasn't sure I'd keep it like that.

Here is a little update on my rig. I've added rock sliders and some mounts in the bed for recovery tools. I will have my C4 overland bumpers by the end of the month.

Badass rig man. Did you just dip the rear bumper? Probably going to do it to mine.
    Thanks!

Tried out some shooting and fire road trails in the San Bernardino National Forest last weekend with a friend of mine. Check with the rangers for the Activity Level the morning of to see if and when shooting there is allowable. Trails were a nice mix of dirt, mud puddles, slushy and icy snow. Good stuff.
