I have an auto that's why I went with 4.88s. I like them it kinda sucks when it's real hilly it dosnt seem to want to downshift as much now though.

I have an auto as well. Do you think the 4.56s would be better and do better with the downshifting and do better on the hills? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the autos come with 4.10s from the factory, from my research this is what I have found?

Mine had factory 3.73s honestly it would probably be better on gas with 4.56s I'm getting 10-12mpgs.

Slapped a new headunit in tonight. Hopefully my backup camera will work with it. Wont be able to check until I get my drums back on so i can hit my brakes and put it in reverse. 20180815_201808.jpg

Have some minor frame damage. My insurance is paying me for the leaf, shock, straightening the frame and a rear bumper. They also told me that if I found anything else later they'd take care of it?20180902_132412.jpg 20180902_132444.jpg 20180902_132439.jpg 20180901_173945.jpg 20180901_173951.jpg 20180901_173957.jpg 20180901_174027.jpg

That frame doesn't qualify for a frame replacement?

Plus why is your insurance paying for the damage and not the idiot who hit you?

Never have I ever had that happen. I've been in a few wrecks. Always I dealt, had my ins. deal with, or lawyer deal with the other person's ins. When my ins dealt with the other person's ins. the vehicle wasn't worked on until said other person's ins. paid. I only carry the min NC requires and it could also be different ins laws in different states.

Well its getting me to and from work. Haha. The frame is bent and the airbag light is on. Took it to a local shop. The guy told me frame is supposed to look like that...after telling him it was bent fro about 15min he finally said if it is bent it's not bent enough for them to waste their time on it. They also checked the airbag light. They gave me the code it was throwing and said I'd have to take it to a dealer. Sooo I'm still driving it. Haha. Actually kicking around in the next couple years picking up a 1/2ton truck for a tow pig/dd probably start selling parts off the truck when that happens....I know I wont get what I have in it if I trade it.

cut that rig apart and make it a trail rig! after you buy another vehicle of course lol.

If you wanted to part it out then trade it in you would def recoup some of the money, i regret not doing that to my first vehicle. I was just lazy lol

Yeah I bought a junk 1st gen 4runner for the solid axle my plan is to get another 1st gen 4runner and build it to wheel. I love my truck but it's just a tad too big for some of the trails we do at rausch. I just want something a little smaller to wheel.

I 100% get that! Long bed ftw though, I wish mine was a long bed. I don't plan on wheeling that much anymore these days lol. If you ever part out let me know! I'm keen to get gears and 35's one day haha, plus your're not too far from me if you ever need a hand.

That being said, I love your build and would hate to see it parted out haha
