No 16’s?

Hey guys, first post.

So I was looking into getting procomp 7032 rims.

I wanted to get them for my 2018 Tacoma SR V6 4x4,however, I just got off the phone with a sales rep from 4wd. He claims that they will not fit around the brake caliper and that the stock Steelies were specially designed to fit. I wonder what you guys thoughts were on this. Thanks.

 

Chances are they will fit, lots of 16+ trucks come with 16" wheels and use 16" aftermarket wheels.

If you are concerned and want to know for sure, buy one rim and bolt it up to your truck to check the caliber clearance. No need to mount the tire or anything.

 

Not all 16s are made equal. There are definitely people reporting issues with 16" wheels both aluminum and steel

But I agree to buy one and check fitment, or even have 4wp do the check

 

you can check with @Discount Tire Direct guys to confirm. They'll probably match or beat 4wp

 

I believe there is only one set of 16 inch pro comp wheels that fit our trucks.

Are you suggesting that I just call and ask them to check or bring the truck in?

 

Its a possibility. If they have the wheel in stock you might be able to bring your truck in to do a test fit, or have them order a wheel so they can do a test fit.

 

From what our fitment data shows, the 16x8 7032 does fit

We do not carry this particular wheel in stock but we can order and we if a competitor has a cheaper advertised out the door price, we'll do our best to either match or beat it!

I tried to put these exact ones on 3 years ago and can confirm the dealer told me they didn't fit over the brake caliper. However I didn't watch them and its possible they just didn't feel like putting them on. I ended up shipping them back and buying a whole different set of 16's

 

Where did you go to get them put on?

 

Just my Toyota dealer where I bought the truck.

 

With my fuel 16s they do clear but barely. They used stick on weights to balance at first, but they hit the calipers, so had to use the hammer on the inner lip style weights as they just barely clear.

 

My helo's fit fine at 16's. There are a lot of people that have aftermarket 16's.... pro comp has a very limited selection that actually do fit.

 

my 2 cents: Discount tire direct @Discount Tire Direct were great to talk to and discuss fitment and options when I ordered my tire/wheel package from them. No issues to report at all with my 16x8 0 offset Level 8 Rims on my gen 3 taco..
