Yes, anywhere there is a blank (short) switch you can put this. I'm putting mine in the center dash switch panel since my handset hangs next to the start button.

Thanks! Super helpful. I'll see what switches I can remove (I haven't had use of the BSM or Backup Sensors in years) so I'm sure I can pop one of those out and run the switch tacopromatt posted above.

The one tacopromatt posted is a long switch, so its only spot is left of the steering wheel. I would love to use that spot too, but I need mine on the right since the kids like to talk to truckers.

Take a look at the second link - it's the shorter/fatter switch. Only problem is shipping from Australia which is $35...I'll try and find it elsewhere

Looks like this would also work for the shorter switch blanks. The seller has a taller switch as well.

I would get that one to be honest. Looks like it just uses a coupler, so you can plug a rj45 cable into the back of it... If you end up needing to get a longer cable, or your cable goes bad, you can just replace that without taking the keystone out.

I actually broke a bit of my switch plate last night trying to get the blue keystone jack out. I ended up having to melt the jack out with a soldering iron.

Yikes...good to know. Looks like this one if made by Air On Board, so I think it will work out. I'll post back here once it arrives.

Do they list what its made of? I would think a injection molded version would be much better than the 3d printed version I have

According to their listing, it states Nylon, so I'd imagine this is also 3D printed. Looking at the construction, I'd say it's likely the case

It's not auto, but rather has a up down switch for manual control. There was a guy online who made a auto up down module for when you turn your radio on the antenna goes up, then down when the radio turns off.
I like the more manual control this has.

But, it's a 3 foot fire stick, along with a diamond k9000 antenna. I'm using a fire ring antenna cable, but it's slightly too big for the power antenna mount, then I put in just a fire stick spring for safety.

I have the ground cable for the mount on one of the small screws on the bottom of it, then grounded to the parking brake cable mount.

    MJ PDX,

Which antenna mount is that? It is exactly what I am looking for for my father's '16 TRD Offroad.

    Thanks!

Well, that was a while ago... On the passenger side I have a NMO Ham antenna mount, I *think* the mount is from HRO or The Antenna Farm, but I don't recall the model. A google search should turn up a few options.
On the driver side I have a CB antenna on a similar mount from CB world, model #AUT2-L
Both are stainless, and I did have to drill a couple holes in the fender for mounting...

    hope that helps

Were you ever able to turn power all the way up without seeing the SWR going up? or, is this typical for the Ranger radios?
    thanks,

So I'm finally getting around to tuning my CB radio, and it's not going great.

My swr is above 3 on all channels.
I have ground on the base, ground on the barrel on the coax at the CB radio side.
Hot pin is good from CB side all the way to the tip of the antenna

Hot and ground have no crossing.

I tested a old mag mount just to see if it was my reader, that also ran a high swr.

Could it just be a bad reader?

Finally installed my Yaesu FTM 400 xdr this weekend. Installed the receiver under the seat and the secondary unit on the dashboard using DMM. I just need to order shorter RAM mount setup.
