    Hello,

I’m new to the group and just bought a 2019 off-road.
For some reason, driving under 40mph feels a little rough, not quite vibration but slightly bouncy.

I’ve had quite a few pickups over the years and don’t know if this is a characteristic of the Tacoma ride.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

The OR suspension is referred to by some owners as a bit spongy, vs it's sport counterpart. You'll probably be appreciate it when you're off road, however.

I feel that the Off-road can be a bit bouncy. When going to the dump one day with a loaded bed it seemed to be a bit smoother with weight in the back.

I bought a few bags of sand and keep it in the bed at all times now.

Sounds like a good excuse to sell aftermarket suspension to your significant other with adjustable shocks since you’re so thoughtful....

New vehicle, you need to check the tire air pressure against the door pillar label.
It seems almost universal that Toyota dealers think you are leaving the dealership with your truck carrying the maximum load.

I second that, I bet the air pressure is way high. 29 lbs cold. I say 30 cold and they might get to 33 lbs and your ride should smooth out

35lbs of pressure cold. Thanks for the input. Time to deflate the tires.

"rough" and "bouncy" are kind of the opposites...

You think that's rough you should drive a Sport over some potholes.. those things will shake kidney stones loose.

Sport model has a stiffer ride compared to OR. Might be more "rough".

True that. Sport and Limited incredible harsh ride. Potholes are "jarring" to say the least. I traded a 2016 Limited for a 2017 TRD Off Road and I'm much happier with the on-road ride. Much.

Put some weight on it and once the springs settle a bit it will stop feeling floaty.

Just a note that the harshness in the Sport over uneven bumps and potholes is not shocks and springs but the sway bar.

My thought are my 2019 TDF OR DCLB rides amazing. I like the plushness of the OR suspension. Performs well off the pavement when I take it there. But I am used to truck suspensions as I have been driving them for almost 20 years. The OR has a little more body roll in curves then the Sport I hear, but that makes sense with what I have read from people experience with the Sport.
